The Polytechnic University of Madrid - Solar Decathlon
The UPM (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) has participated in the last two editions of Solar Decathon. In 2005 we took to contest a moving project we named the MAGIC BOX, which granted us the 9th place. In 2007 the project was named CASA SOLAR (solar home) which earned a 5th place. Casa Solar 2007
The goal of the prototype is to unify the rationality of a design based on bioclimatic criteria aimed at favouring the characteristics of the environment with technological innovations.
Magic Box 2005
Magic Box is full of the European, Mediterranean and purely Spanish spirit. The house is characterized by simplicity, versatility, layout consistency, easy use in both the inside and the outside.
